A few weeks ago when my brilliant and immensely talented cousin Maritri invited me to join her and guest Kori Withers for Singer-Songwriter Night at The Stowaway in DTLA, I immediately said yes! She asked if I wanted to do a cover or an original and of course it was the perfect opportunity to sing “Brand New Thing.” Maritri’s arrangement on piano is sublime, and the incredible Les Cleveland on drums made it a whole vibe.
